The Effect of Basalt Fiber on Concrete Performance under a Sulfate Attack Environment

To enhance the sulfate attack resistance performance of concrete, Sulfate erosion test was carried out on basalt fiber concrete with different contents, selecting a concentration 5% solution and using dry−wet cycle mechanism fiber-reinforced (BFRC). Every 15 cycles, mass, compressive strength, splitting tensile relative dynamic elastic modulus BFRC were tested, SO42− measured. This work demonstrates that modulus, strength reveal trend climb up then decline process cycle. Basalt can corrosion by delaying induced increasing bearing anti-deformation capacities improving its internal structure. Additionally, when mixing 0.2% into deterioration rate will be reduced peak values appear at 60 75 times alternating respectively. Adverse effects occur volume fraction exceeds 0.2%. The research in this paper provide foundation for engineering applications concrete.
